Google Merchant Center (GMC) Multi-Location VLA Requirements

Mandatory location mapping requirements for multi-store dealership websites running Google Vehicle Listing Ads.

When a single dealership website hosts inventory for multiple physical store locations, Google Merchant Center (GMC) requires location mapping for Google Ads Vehicle Listing Ads (VLAs).

If all vehicles in a multi-store feed default to a single store code, or if physical locations are missing from your linked Google Business Profiles, Google will flag location mismatches. This triggers account-level warnings like "Confirm your page operates reliably across geographic locations" or link template disapprovals.

Every physical store must have an active Google Business Profile (GMB) linked to GMC, and every vehicle must be assigned a store_code matching the Google Business Profile's assigned store code.

Requirements Checklist

  • Google Business Profile (GMB) per Location: Every physical dealership must have an individual, verified GMB profile.
  • Linked Profiles in GMC: All location profiles must be explicitly linked inside Google Merchant Center under Stores / Linked Profiles.
  • Standardized Store Codes: Every GMB location profile requires a unique, exact Store Code.
  • Filterable Inventory Data: Inventory data delivered to Orbee must identify which vehicle belongs to which physical store using an inventory field (e.g., custom_label_0, dealer_code) or dedicated location-based feeds.
