Shopper Profiles and Segments

How do shopper profiles build segments?

Shopper profiles are created from your website visitors' browsing data which places them into specific segments.

What is audience segmentation?

Audience segmentation is the process of grouping website visitors into different categories based on their behavior on your site. This helps create targeted advertising campaigns and personalized experiences.

How are audience segments created?

Segments are created using rules based on specific actions users take on your website, such as browsing new car pages, visiting the service scheduler and even viewing a careers page.

What is a shopper profile?

A shopper profile is a collection of information about an individual's preferences based on the segments they belong to and the information the Orbee tracking script has collected. This helps dealerships better understand their customers and tailor marketing efforts.

How does audience segmentation help with advertising?

Segmentation allows us to target specific groups of people with relevant ads as well as suppress audiences that are not relevant. We can retarget customers through various channels like email, website browsing, and social media using information gathered about their interests and behaviors.

What if someone clears their browser cookies?

Clearing browser cookies does impact the immediate tracking of a shopper's behavior. If a user deletes their Orbee cookie, their existing shopper profile won't receive any new data because a new Orbee user ID is generated. However, this isn't the end of the story. Should that user fill out a lead form on your site even with the new cookie, we have the ability to match that profile to the new user ID. This allows us to bridge the gap in their customer journey, ensuring you still have valuable insights into their behavior and preferences.
