How to Utilize Orbee's Audience Builder

Orbee's Audience Builder enables dealerships to craft precise and impactful email campaigns that yield significant results. This guide will walk you through the various features and best practices for effectively utilizing the audience builder.

Orbee's Audience Builder integrates with your dealership's CRM, DMS, and Data Lake, enabling you to create precisely segmented email lists for targeted campaigns. Key capabilities include:

  • Transparency and Control: View data sources and filters for each list, allowing for easy refinement and replication. Manually reprocess lists to ensure campaigns utilize the latest customer information.
  • Data Integration: Access diverse data sources within the Data Lake for enhanced segmentation and targeting.
  • Effective List Management: Enhance customer experience and outcomes by sending relevant, targeted content.
  • Accuracy and Validation: Preview lists before campaigns to ensure accuracy; Orbee automatically splits email addresses to include only valid ones.
  • Vendor Insights: Utilize valuable vendor data (e.g., FusionZone, Ansira, NabThat) to enrich Vehicle Display Page views and gain deeper campaign insights.

Types of Lists

1. Segment Lists

Objective: Target engaged website shoppers based on real-time behavior and attributes.

Dynamically populated lists based on real-time customer behavior and attributes. Define specific criteria such as website activity, vehicle interests, or service history to automatically generate a list of qualified individuals. This allows you to target engaged shoppers with personalized messages. For example, you could create a segment list of all website visitors who viewed a specific vehicle page in the last week.

When to use:

  • You want to reach people who have shown recent interest in specific vehicles, services, or offers on your website.
  • You need a dynamic list that automatically updates as customer behavior changes.
  • You want to personalize messaging based on individual website activity.

2. Uploaded Lists

Objective: Reach out to contacts gathered outside of your website or CRM.

This option allows you to import a pre-existing list of email addresses from a CSV UTF-8 file. Ensure your file includes the necessary headers (first_name, last_name, name, email, phone) for a seamless import. This is useful for reaching out to contacts gathered from events, contests, or other sources. Refer to the How to Upload Email Lists guide for detailed instructions.

3. Lists of Lists

Objective: Refine your targeting by combining or excluding existing lists.

Enables you to combine multiple existing lists to create broader audiences or exclude specific groups. This is ideal for refining your targeting and ensuring the right people receive your message. For example, you could combine a list of recent service customers with a list of customers who have opted in for service reminders to create a highly targeted service campaign.

When to use:

  • You want to create a highly specific audience by combining multiple criteria.
  • You need to exclude certain groups from receiving a particular message.

4. Integrations Lists

Objective: Leverage your CRM/DMS data for targeted email campaigns.

Connect Orbee with your CRM or DMS to leverage your existing customer data. Create custom lists based on specific criteria within your CRM/DMS, or utilize pre-built lists that automatically sync with Orbee. This streamlines your workflow and ensures your email campaigns are powered by the most up-to-date customer information.

When to use:

  • You want to utilize customer information stored in your CRM/DMS.
  • You need to automate list creation based on CRM/DMS data.

Best Practices

  • Start with a Clear Goal: Define the purpose of your email campaign before creating your list.
  • Use Specific Criteria: The more targeted your list, the higher your engagement rates.
  • Regularly Update Your Lists: Reprocess your lists to ensure accuracy. (Remember that Orbee can be set to automatically update your lists!)
  • Segment Your Audience: Divide your audience into smaller segments for more personalized messaging.
  • Test and Refine: Monitor the performance of your email campaigns to identify areas for improvement.
  • Respect Customer Preferences: Provide an easy way for customers to unsubscribe.

Note:

  • When uploading a list, make sure that the file is in CSV UTF-8 format and contains the required headers.
  • If you are using CRM data, you can choose to either create your own list or use one of the pre-made lists.
  • You can mark your list to update automatically so that it always reflects the most up-to-date results.
  • Orbee filters out misspelled email domains to ensure that your emails are delivered to the correct recipients.
