Requesting a New Inventory Field Mapping
Learn how to request and configure new inventory feed field mappings in Orbee, including pricing field updates, inventory ingestion, and downstream platform validation.
What We Need From You
When submitting a request to the Orbee support team, please provide:
- The name of the new field being added to the inventory feed
- A brief explanation of how the field is intended to be used
- Whether the field should replace or supplement an existing field in Orbee
Example:
- New field: Sticker_Price
- Intended use: Replace current Web_Price value to include dealership doc fee pricing
What Happens Next
1. Orbee Confirms the Field Is Being Received
Our team will first verify that the new field is successfully arriving within your inventory feed. If the field is not yet present in the feed, we may coordinate with your inventory provider before proceeding.
2. Orbee Maps the Field & Configures Rules
Once confirmed, our team will configure the field mapping within Orbee’s inventory ingestion system.
For pricing-related fields, please let us know how you want the value used. For example:
- Should the new field become the primary Web Price?
- Should it be used within advertising platforms (such as Google Ads or Meta inventory integrations) for marketing syndication?
This helps ensure the data behaves correctly across all downstream systems.
Platform Validation & Inventory Resync
After the field has been mapped:
- The inventory feed will be resynced through Orbee’s systems.
- Our team will validate that the updated field is flowing properly to connected platforms.
This may include validation for:
- Google Ads
- Meta / Facebook Automotive Inventory Ads
- Inventory syndication feeds
- Website inventory displays
- Other connected marketing platforms
